ITTHC Community Services

Since our beginning in 1969, ITTHC has considered it important to give back to the community in some way. Over the last 35 years, we have helped with various organizations such as Tulsa Public Schools and Domestic Violence Intervention Services.

For the last decade we have sponsored the children of Oaks Indian Mission through special "Back-to-School" and "Christmas" projects. We also helped with their birthdays and day-to-day living needs.

This year we have selected "Broken Arrow Neighbors" as the focus for our club's community services.

We will be posting a needs list each month in our newsletter and collecting these items at our meetings.

These items will be used to "Assist" many deserving people in the Broken Arrow, Bixby & Coweta area "With Dignity" during times when they need it the most.

Broken Arrow Neighbors is an interfaith organization annually providing basic need emergency assistance to more than 13,000 financially disadvantaged people in the Broken Arrow, Bixby and Coweta areas. They are people of all faiths who believe that meeting the needs of the poor, the working poor, and the frail elderly is everyone's job.

To some, Broken Arrow Neighbors makes the difference between continuing independent living and becoming just another government statistic-homeless and broken.

Broken Arrow Neighbors reaches out to those in need. They nourish the body with food and the spirit with respect and dignity. They are gentle with the angry, patient with the trying, firm with the weak, supportive with the struggling, a companion to the lonely, and hospitable to all.
