Wanda Nell Carnes July 14, 1936 – July 1, 2016

Wanda Nell Carnes, 79, passed away July 1, 2016 in Catoosa, OK. Wanda was born July 14, 1936 in Junction, TX, second daughter of Ben Frank Lindsey and Annie Marie Livermen Lindsey.

Wanda attended school in Ft Stockton, TX and graduated from hight school in Iraan, TX in 1954. On September 30, 1955 Gary D. Carnes married Wanda Nell Lindsey in Midland, TX. She the worked in Midland, TX for Phillips Petroleum Company from 1954 to 1959 and Gulf Oil until 1963. In 1963 Wanda and her family moved to Amarillo, TX and worked for Schneider, Bernet & Hickman and Kidder Peabody brokerage firms until 1969. Then in 1969 Wanda and her family moved to Tulsa, OK and worked for Kidder Peabody until 1971 during which time she was a Licensed stock broker. Later employed by Cotton Petroleum Corp 1971 to 1980. She then worked for Weinkauf Petroleum 1980 to 1983, then again for Cotton Properties until 1996.

She was past member of Eastern Star, Midland, TX Chapter. She was invalved in several Clubs which included; Indian Territory Treasure Hunters Club, Tulsey Town Treasure Hunters Club, and Three Forks Treasure Hunters Club.

Wanda is survived by her husband, Gary D. Carnes; son, Russell C. Carnes and his wife Cathy of Park Hill, OK; daughter, Chris Diane Davis and her husband Jeffery Chris of Broken Arrow, OK; daughter, Cheryl Lea Willis and her husband Todd of Hendersonville, TN; stepdaughter, Debbie Newton of Bartlesville, OK; grandson, Clint Lane Carnes of Park Hill, OK; granddaughters, Angeline Jie Davis and Michelle SiYi Davis of Broken Arrow, OK. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Annie Lindsey; sister, Ethelda Marie Lindsey Jones.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to, The Alzheimers Association of Tulsa, in honor of Wanda N. Carnes.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, July 8th, Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, 6500 S 129th E Ave., Broken Arrow, OK 74012
