Couple of Better Miner’s Checks
In Response To: Working In A Coal Mine! ()

Here are two of the miner’s checks that were supplied by the mining companies. The “C. O. & G.” stands for the “Choctaw Oklahoma & Gulf” company that was a railroad with mining interest. This was a short lived company and in the 1990’s when the club first started detecting these mining ghost towns these checks were selling for $75.00. Over the years club members have dug many of these and the price will probably be a little depressed now. The “P. & D. Co.” miner’s check I have not been able to find any information about the company.
